VCUarts Qatar’s much-awaited online BFA + MFA Exhibition 2022 is here!
I invite you to view the projects that were created by our graduating Class of 2022.
The artworks and designs on display are not merely about color or contour; each piece is a testament to the resolve of a group of young people who had to spend almost half their university lives cocooned in their make-shift home studios, improvising as they went along. Never have the words ‘self-driven’, ‘self-reflection’ and ‘self-motivated’ acquired so much meaning and depth.
In capital letters, unbridled, unapologetic, and with a period at the end.
Here, you can explore themes that can appear inspiring, or provocative, or debatable, or startling, to some, but are all undeniably relevant to humanity.
You can immerse yourself in visual narratives on topics such as conflict, ageing, homelessness, inclusivity, cultural conservation in Qatar, third culture kids, mental well-being, identity, social hierarchies, and the natural environment, to name but a few.
So, step into this online exhibition if you want to see what raw talent looks like; what originality feels like.
